Western Bays Taster – Kawakawa Bay to Kinloch

On our Western Bays Taster trip, departing from Kinloch Marina by boat across the pristine waters of Lake Taupo to the long sweeping sandy beach of Kawakawa Bay.

Jump into the crystal-clear waters or if the weather is too cold, simply have a drink from one of the only freshwater lakes that you can still drink from.  Otherwise, sunbathe on the shore, listening to the soothing sounds of native birds, while taking in the magnificent sight of the Tongariro National Park mountains across the lake.

From here kayak up to a hidden cave, then venture through the regions surreal volcanic landscape and towering cliffs for a truly unforgettable experience. To finish our adventure we will be muffins and refreshments back in Kinloch.
