About

Cobblestones Museum is located in Greytown on the original site of the stables operated by Cobb & Co and the Hastwells to provide a passenger service between Wellington and the Wairarapa from 1866. Historical Wairarapa Buildings located at Cobblestones include the Hastwell Stables, the first Wairarapa church, the Donald Woolshed (1858), Wairarapa's first public hospital (1875), a one room country school and an original Greytown colonial cottage (1867).
