Take a ferry or water taxi and explore this beautiful island rich in history.
Set in stunning coastal surrounds, the Urupukapuka Island Archaeological Walk is a great way to learn about the area's mysterious history.
The five-hour island walk is designed in a clockwise direction, and may be joined at most of the larger bays. This track generally follows the outer edge of the island passing various archaeological features.
The track can be best joined from Otehei, Urupukapuka, Cable, Indico and Oneura/Paradise Bays.
Finish off a day of exploring on the gorgeous beach that is perfect for relaxing or snorkelling.
Track conditions often change. Be prepared by checking with the Department of Conservation before you go.
