The Remarkables is Queenstown's big mountain. With terrain for every skill level from sun-soaked and wide open runs to legendary chutes and infamous park vibes there's something for everyone. Enjoy our awesome learner’s area, smooth green runs, open intermediate trails, wide range of park features or explore the freeride terrain, cafes Ice Bar and restaurant. Grab your lift pass, lessons, rentals, and book your ski bus all online. We're a 45-minute drive from central Queenstown or a convenient Ski Bus ride, check the weather and road conditions on our website before you head up and always carry chains if you're driving. Just looking to play in the snow? We've got you sorted there too.
Are there shuttles to the ski field?
The Remarkables Ski Bus(opens in new window) runs buses from the Queenstown Snow Centre, $15 return trip. There is also a Hotel Ski Bus that will collect you from designated accommodation in Queenstown, $25 return trip.
Can I purchase food at the ski area?
There is a fully-licensed bar and café(opens in new window) at The Remarkables. Or, find a seat at the Ice Bar located half-way down Curvey Basin. Take in the views with a mulled wine or Kranski sausage at this outdoor bar with a difference.
What type of lessons does the ski area provide?
The Remarkables Snowsports School(opens in new window) offers a range of ski and snowboard lessons and programmes for all ages and ability levels including first timers, group lessons, private lessons and a variety of specialised clinics.
Does the ski area have a terrain park?
The Remarkables has up to 7 terrain parks depending on conditions, including the Burton Stash, the only park of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
