Price Includes: Transport to track in minibus from/to Christchurch 3 days hiking on the private Island Hills Station Track Luggage transport during walk - you only carry your day pack 3 nights in huts in comfy beds (bunkrooms), hot showers 4x breakfast, 3x picnic lunch, 3x dinner/BBQ, snacks Hanmer Springs - 1 night hotel/motel in twin room Welcome drink Professional female guide/driver All access and concession fees.
Changes to bookings can be made up to 60 days before departure and are subject to a NZ$100 processing fee. Possible changes include changing to the same tour on a different date or changing to a different tour. Changes are only possible to published tour dates and for tours within the next 12 months. Changes made later than 60 days prior to departure are treated as cancellations. More info on our website (see T&Cs).
You can truly get away from it all in this mobile reception-free hill countryside. Escape, recharge, let us take care of the details and be ready to have a true Kiwi Back Country experience. Reasonable fitness is required on the three-day track as we walk for up to 5 hours each day, however your luggage will be transported for you and you can walk at your own pace. Take in the diverse range of landscapes and vegetation and learn about the fascinating local history, from early Maori pack tracks, to mustering tales and WW2 heroes. After the walking days, enjoy some relaxing time in Hanmer Springs, let the muscles soak in hot spring water or maybe you fancy a massage? Whatever you do, you will come home refreshed and ready for more adventures.
