As the largest town in the Rangitikei district, Marton has all the shops and services you’d expect of a rural centre. Traditionally, Rangitikei residents have been involved with sheep, cattle and deer farming. More recently the area has been attracting city dwellers looking for a slower pace of life. There are a number of beautiful gardens to visit, or stop for refreshments at one of the cafes.
