Coronet Peak is Queenstown’s local ski resort, it's a vibrant hub of adventure, just 20 minutes from town. The Peak caters for everyone, from as young as 2 years in Skiwiland to Olympic Ski Race teams. Whether you're hitting the slopes as a beginner, seeking the thrilling roller coaster terrain or chasing the vertical, Coronet Peak promises excitement for everyone. Are their shuttles to the ski field?
The Coronet Peak Ski Bus(opens in new window) The Ski Bus runs buses from the Queenstown Snow Centre on Duke Street, $15 return trip. There is also a Hotel Ski Bus that will collect you from designated accommodation in Queenstown, $25 return trip.
Does the ski area have a terrain park?
Yes. Kids Fun Zone, beginner & intermediate features, conditions depending.
Can I purchase food at the ski area?
There are four cafes(opens in new window) at Coronet Peak, including a fully-licensed bar, café and restaurant in the Coronet Peak Base Building. You can dine beside the fire at Heidi’s Hut, enjoy a hot meal from the restaurant, or head to Falcons Rest out on the deck for a mulled wine by the fire.
What type of lessons does the ski area provide?
The Coronet Peak Snowsports School(opens in new window) offers a range of ski and snowboard lessons and programmes for all ages and ability levels including first timers, group lessons, private lessons and a variety of one week and two day clinics.
