We offer a range of guided tours to engage people with Parliament and give a look inside our iconic buildings.
For all tours of Parliament, you need to arrive 15 minutes in advance of your tour start time to allow for security screening processes. Most tours have a pre-tour video that begins 5 minutes before the stated tour start time. While it is not essential to arrive before the video starts, we do recommend you leave enough time for security and to check your belongings in before the video starts. We also require a minimum of 1 adult to accompany up to 4 children (12 and under).
Visitors who book online using our website can manage their own bookings, including cancelling tickets, by using the link in their booking confirmation. You are also welcome to contact us at tour.desk@parliament.govt.nz or +64 4 817 9503 to cancel or ammend your booking.
Explore the Parliament buildings, learn about the Parliamentary process in New Zealand, and find out how you can participate in our democracy. Along the way, you will see some of the many artworks and objects from the Parliamentary Collection, and get to know the details behind the iconic architecture. Please note, some of the stops on the tour route may be changed or closed at short notice, including the debating chamber on days that the house is sitting. If you want to know what your tour will cover on the day you visit, please contact us. We recommend booking all of our tours in advance, as numbers are strictly limited.
