ニュージーランドの中でも最も美しい環境に恵まれたワイン生産地の一つであるギブストン・バレーは景色だけでなく、芳醇なピノ・ノワールやチーズも楽しみの一つです。

Gibbston, also known as the "Grape Valley," is one of New Zealand's most beautiful wine regions. The vineyards of this valley are sandwiched between the rocky schist mountains that are about to collapse and the rocky Kawarau River Gorge. The climate of this high-altitude region is characterized by cold winters, dry summers, and wide temperature differences throughout the day. Such a harsh climate leads to excellent wine production, and the wines produced here have been highly acclaimed around the world and have won countless international awards. 70% of the grapes produced here are Pinot Noir, but other grapes such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc are also produced. In addition to wine, the Gibston produces delicious cheese. At the picnic, add a piece of wash cheese or sheep milk cheese and you'll soon be empty of a few delicious Pinot Noir wines. At the western end of the Gibbston, the Kawarau Bridge allows you to watch a bungee jump as the flowing water swirls down the Kawarau River. Bungee jumping is a very fun sport not only to experience but also to see.
