All trips require a minimum of 2 people. Winter rafting requires booking in advance.
All trips will continue regardless of weather, unless river conditions are unsafe. If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of booking time, a 20% cancellation fee will apply. If MAC cancel the trip due to unsafe river conditions, we will endeavour to reschedule. If rescheduling does not apply, no cancellation fee will be charged.
Mangaweka is located halfway between Rotorua and Wellington and only 1min drive off SH1 is our rafting base, Awastone. Papa Gorge rafting & kayaking trips go all summer long. This fun, safe "splash 'n' giggle" takes about 1 hour on the river and is welcome to all kids starting from 3 years of age to enjoy. There are plenty of native birds and a few waterfalls to capture your perfect holiday picture plus our professional friendly guides have great stories. All the gear, transport and yummy snack at the finish are provided. It is an adventurous break along your journey on SH1, New Zealand. Want to extend your stay?
