Conditions on the mountains can change rapidly, so it’s important you check the daily snow report. These reports are updated throughout the day and include information on the snow and weather, road conditions and chain requirements, boundary and closure information, informs on which lifts and facilities are open and any other important updates.

Lifts access various terrains that are suitable for different activity levels – always make sure your lift pass takes you to the slope that matches your ability. If you’re unsure about the speed of a lift, don’t hesitate to ask a lift operator to slow it down for you, and always make sure the safety bar is lowered over your chair.
Be respectful of all closures on lifts and ski areas.
Slow zones provide a safe learning area for beginners and children and are indicated with bright signage. Always respect these areas by keeping your speed slow.
Some ski fields offer night skiing opportunities during the evening. When night skiing, it’s important to obey all the signs and stay within the lit area, as your ability to judge speed is diminished which can mean you often are going faster than you think. Make sure you’re aware of this and stay in control.
