The Fox Glacier South Side Walkway and Cycleway is a beautiful forest track with excellent views of Fox Glacier
This short loop track provides easy cycling and walking along the Fox River. Highlights include two viewing points for Fox Glacier and crossings of glacial moraine surfaces (glacial debris) that reflect the movement of the glacier over time.
For your safety, please do not detour off the track and take warm and waterproof clothing. Check the track and weather conditions before you depart at the local DOC office(opens in new window) or visitor centre(opens in new window).
Note, cycling is not permitted past the first viewing point, approximately 10 minutes’ cycling from the start of the track.
Track conditions often change. Be prepared by checking with the Department of Conservation before you go.
