Children alter the dynamic of the hike group and can affect the ability of the group or the weather that the group can cope with, not every hike is suitable for children. Please contact us to discuss things if you are travelling with children.
We believe that your time in New Zealand is precious. We always try to re-schedule your trip, or offer an alternative hike if the weather is not suitable to hike where you booked to go. If the weather is really bad everywhere, we will cancel entirely. We will often know (or at least suspect) it might cancel two days ahead. If we cancel the trip due to the weather, we offer full refund, less any booking fees, so you can go somewhere else (to different weather) and make the most of the day.
Tongariro National Park is New Zealand's first and is uniquely diverse in it's landscapes, from volcanic desert areas to gushing waterfalls in moss covered forests, near lava flows etched by glaciers, with lakes of stunning colours drawn from steaming geothermal areas. It is our privilege to show people these amazing works of nature and unlock some of their secrets.
We enjoy making things as convenient and easy as possible for our guests to enjoy the best of this area, from the time we meet pick you up, to the time we get you back to your vehicle or accommodation, the emphasis is on fun and easy.
