Mervyn loves to bring our stories to life by playing his koauau, a Māori flute. Telling the story of how Whangarei got it's name, the koauau was used by a young chieftain to help him decide which princess he was going to marry.
Rangimarie loves to share some insights as well, when she gets the chance. You have to be quick when Mervyns around.
Mervyn has a wonderful sense of humour, nothing brings us more joy than to see our manuhiri enjoying themselves.
