This is the first time we have been able to do this trail since before Covid 19 closed our borders and we are so excited. Our Twin Lakes begins on the banks of Lake Wanaka and rides into two iconic high country stations. Then horses on the barge, humans on the boat we sail across Lake Wanaka to the neck between lakes. Here we head high into the native bush above Lake Wanaka and ride towards the breathtaking Lake Hawea. Two more iconic stations are waiting for us to explore their delights. Taxi from Queenstown (T&C's apply to meet the specific trail). Historic accommodation is shearers quarters, back huts, historic hotel. Limited cell phone coverage and wifi afford riders a wonderful digital detox. Star gaze under fabulous night sky.
