Fill in a quick health and safety form and have the freedom of walking all the trails of Tree Heart Park. If there is stormy weather the tracks can become slippery. Wear good walking shoes. Be aware the waterways are not fenced and 100 percent attention must be on children at all times. The picnic area is easily accessible by vehicle if walking is a problem and is fenced from the waterways.
A full refund will be given in the event of stormy weather. The storm weather cancellation will be assessed by both parties 48 hours prior to the event.
It's a perfect way to spend time with your mum. Bring her to Tree Heart Park, Hunua and enjoy a quiet amble along a track or two, or drive straight to a picnic spot at a place we call Far Far Beyond, where the native birds fly over including the kingfisher and the tui. We hand you a picnic hamper of goodies for everyone to enjoy for a few hours and we pack in a small gift for mum. The picnic can be anywhere on the park but we like to set a table up for you by Granny Ma's self-service tea and coffee hut, with loungers or hammocks, and a book or magazine to read. If children are with you they can enjoy outdoor and indoor games. Our Tree Heart Park Gift Shop is open-a little botanical, vintage, kiwiana, honey, preserves and chocolates.
