Need to show a valid passport upon arrival & $20 cash key deposit. Other forms of ID require a $50 cash behavior bond including the key deposit. Contact us directly for group bookings or long term stays. Weekly rates available.
24 hours before 9AM on day of check-in. This may differ for beds booked on popular dates, for group bookings and for long term stays.
Mount Backpackers offers 4 to 14 bed sized dorms with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Our competitive prices includes high-speed WIFI, quality mattresses and bedding, and use off all facilities (including our BBQ, Netflix and X-Box). We are a short walk away from Mauao - 'the Mount', Pilot Bay and surf hub Maunganui Main Beach, voted TripAdvisor's NZ's Best Beach 2014-2020. It's the ultimate getaway spot. We can also help you find a job in one of the many orchards, packhouses, construction companies, hospitality businesses or retailers in our direct area. We do not charge a fee or require you to stay - but we find that people want to either way. Contact us directly for long-term accommodation or book your short term stay online.
