Helihike includes helicopter access to Kepler Track and water taxi return. This hike is physically demanding, a medium- high level of fitness and mobility is required, it is a sustained 800m/2600 ft descent, 8km/5 mile walk, walking time up to 6 hours. On occasion, alpine weather may make conditions more challenging. The track is rough and rocky underfoot in some places. We operate in most weather conditions, so guests need to be suitably prepared. Recommended for ages 8-70 years.
A full charge or nil refund will be made in the advent of you not showing up for a booked space or cancelling less than 7 days before travel. Date transfers may be made subject to availability.
Begin your awe-inspiring experience with a spectacular flight to Luxmore Hut from Te Anau. Explore the expansive alpine tussock field and enjoy mountain views on offer. Then hike down the mountain on a well-formed track descending through native beech forest and passing under towering limestone bluffs to reach the sandy lake shore for a short water taxi ride back to Te Anau.
