A big day out in the beautiful and historic Karangahake Gorge. This ride takes in the natural and man-made wonders of the bush clad gorge including a 1.1km tunnel to ride through, waterfalls to view and multiple walks to compliment your ride.

Minimum Four people booked on a tour for the tour to run. (Four people do not have to be from the same group).
Cancellations within 7 days of tour date will incur a 30% fee. Cancellations more than 7 days before the tour date incur a 5% booking fee.
The Karangahake Gorge trail is an offshoot of the Hauraki Rail Trail that runs between Waihi and Paeroa. This section of trail is steeped in history from the Gold rush days and has masses of interesting features and scenic sights along the way. Your R&R support wagon will be strategically positioned along the way for refreshments and a bite of lunch at one of the many stunning rest points on this trail. For some added site seeing there is a 45 minute steam train ride available from Waikino to Waihi most weekend days, and also an interesting walk around the Waihi Mine pit to add to your riding adventure. If one day just isn’t enough you could look at adding on the Tauranga based trails for a second day’s riding. See the BOP Excursion Tour.
