We provide cultural and Historic guided safaris of the Hokianga Harbour. Our safaris can be carried out on kayaks or the longer ones are by jetskis. We travel at your pace as you get to explore the Hokainga as our tupuna did before us.

Children under 15 are not permitted to ride a jetski on their own. Discount rates available for group bookings.
Cancellation Policy: You will be unable to cancel within 7 days of the safari commencing. You will be unable to cancel once the safari has commenced. Cancellation due to bereavement or health reasons will be considered on a case by case basis. Awesome Adventures Hokianga has the option to cancel a safari if the weather or marine conditions impact safety and comfort. A full refund will be issued in this case.
Our unique, guided jetski safaris are suited to everyone. We travel at your pace. You have the freedom of your own jetski and you get to explore all the safe, beautiful waters of the Hokianga Harbour which stretch over 40km inland. Our experienced maori guides take you on a journey back in time, so you feel how life was. The stories they have are not all in the history books – they have been passed down generation by generation by the people of the Hokianga. The historical significance of the area is unmatched by anywhere else in New Zealand – this was the first landing point of human in-habitation – this was where the famous explorer Kupe first arrived in 925 AD. You can have your own jetski or you can share a jetski at no extra cost.
