Your driver/guide will take you on a wonderful sightseeing experience to the heart of New Zealand’s geothermal location Te Puia home of the famous Pohutu Geyser, the largest geyser in the southern hemisphere. Your guide will take you on a tour of the natural bush, geysers and mud pools with a remarkable walk along the Te Whakarewarewa geyser terrace sharing about the Maori culture, the history of the area and how the local Maori people lived there day to day. See traditional carving and weaving and experience the Kiwi conservation centre where you can see native Kiwi birds. The tour will end with a cultural performance including a welcome on to the Marae or meeting house, examples of traditional songs and the famous haka.
