In winter, Methven is a snow sports town. In every other season, it's a place to launch yourself into all kinds of outdoor adventure activities.
Methven is renowned for its relaxed lifestyle, warm hospitality and abundance of outdoor activities on your doorstep. In winter it is very popular with nine ski fields close by including the magnificent Mt Hutt ski area.
At other times of the year, activities such as jet boating, hot air ballooning, scenic flights and mountain biking are popular. The town offers an excellent choice of eating places and bars. Accommodation ranges from backpacker lodges to character B&B's.
