Triathlon

IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship - 14th & 15th of December 2024

Taupō will be the epicentre of endurance on the 14th and 15th of December 2024, with elite triathlon athletes gathering for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. It will be the first time that New Zealand host the competition, with its unique landscapes offering the perfect scenery for an unforgettable race.

ITM Taupō Super400 - 19th to 21st of April 2024

Taupō's Motorsport Park will be hosting roaring high-performance engines and world class drivers during the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship with the ITM Taupō Super400. The Gen3 Supercar event will run for three days from the 19th to the 21st of April 2024.

Enjoy the racing, as well as off-track entertainment and interactive activities. The circuit is set in the countryside, with the volcanic Mount Tauhara(opens in new window) providing a spectacular backdrop.

Spectators can also explore Taupō’s beautiful landscapes and wide range of activities nearby.

Coast to Coast

7th & 8th of February 2025

An iconic multisport event, Coast to Coast(opens in new window) sees competitors run, bike, hike and kayak across some of the most spectacular parts of the South Island. Starting from the windswept West Coast, the 243km course travels across the Southern Alps before ending at Christchurch's New Brighton Pier where a vibrant beachside festival greets competitors.
