About

The Edwin Fox Ship and Visitor Centre is a great little find, filmed by the BBC Coast Show with Neil Oliver. Built in India in 1853, the first 40 years The Edwin Fox was kept very busy with convicts, immigrants and soldiers and tea and beer trading routes before it arrived in Picton, unknowingly never to leave again. The Edwin Fox Society was formed in 1965 to save the ship from a watery grave (it was to be sunk as a dive wreck) and bought the ship for a shilling. Come and see what life would of been like. Try a traditional game of quoits, have a go at knot tying. Great photo opportunities. We are children friendly and a great wet weather day activity.
