About

This unique tour, to a stunning private property at the top of the South Island, will suit people who enjoy walking and have a good level of fitness. Enjoy a scenic boat charter through the pelorus sounds. Learn the history and meet the wildlife before arriving at Waitata Lodge. There, in two modern lodges nestled among native bush overlooking Pelorus Sound, you’ll be hosted by Debra and Mike Brennan.

Experience a guided day walk at Port Ligar, which has been farmed for generations by the Shand family and take a visit to the historic settlement at Bulwer, a seaside depot for sailing ships in the 1800s, where the locals will share their stories.
