One of the best coastal walks in New Zealand. Discover beautiful beaches, quiet nature and twinkling bays.
This spectacular walk takes 3.5 hours one way and offers the chance to take in the full beauty and solitude of the remote upper Coromandel Peninsula. Stony Bay and Fletchers Bay mark the start and end points of the track, and both are hidden jewels in their own right.
Passing beneath the shadow of brooding Mt Moehau, the track traverses pristine bush, farmland and coastline.
The track follows an easy gradient with a short steep section into and out of Poley Bay. From here, you will head on to farmland where the track leads to Fletcher Bay.
Local guides and drivers provide safe transport along the stunning Port Jackson, Port Charles and Stony Bay roads. This allows travellers to relax and take in the stunning sights past the last outpost of Colville.
Track conditions often change. Be prepared by checking with the Department of Conservation before you go.
